Location

The Denver Prevention Training Center is located on the Denver Health Medical Center campus just south of downtown (map) at 601 Broadway (the intersection of 6th Ave. and Broadway). From I-25, take the 6th Avenue East exit to Delaware Street. We are located in the building at 601 Broadway, where all visitors need to check-in at the security desk and obtain a visitor badge. View the Denver Health Campus Map for parking options.

Visiting Denver

While Denver enjoys 300 days of sunshine every year, the weather in the Mile High City can change quickly, so be prepared with layered clothing and sunscreen. Because of our altitude, we advise you to drink plenty of water and limit your caffeine and alcohol intake during your stay. For information on dining, lodging, events and attractions, the Denver Visitor’s Bureau has a wealth of information.

Travel and Lodging

Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. It's also the second largest public art installation in the region, so keep your eyes open on the way to baggage claim, located on the fifth floor of the main terminal. The 20 mile trip from the airport to downtown Denver will cost about $20 by shuttle or $60 by taxi. The A-Line will bring you from the airport to Union Station where you can access transportation to any downtown hotel.

TownePlace Suites by Marriot, a modestly-appointed hotel, is one block east of our campus.  There are a number of other hotels in the Downtown and Cherry Creek North neighborhoods, which are short drives to our campus.
