Mountain Plains Resources and Aids for Infection Prevention (Embrace-IP) is a project of the Region 8 Ebola and Special Pathogens Network that seeks to help hospitals and other health care providers confronted by COVID-19 and other highly-infectious pathogens.  In 2021 our objectives are:

    1. Creating a clearing house of useful healthcare guidance, policies and procedures for COVID-19.
    2. Offering a playbook to help hospitals plan for populations presenting unique challenges for infection prevention
    3. Offering technical support and online learning opportunities

While Denver Health and Hospital Authority, Region 8’s Ebola and Special Pathogens Care and Testing Center coordinates this project, we especially seek to:

    • share practical knowledge that already exists among healthcare providers in the region, and
    • improve communication and coordination between public health authorities and health care providers.

Our intended audience is primarily hospitals and local and state health departments at this stage.   We will share materials developed at Denver Health but also want members to share resources they find useful -- or less so.   Please contact us to tell us about:

    • useful guidelines, policies, procedures, and resources you have created or found
    • concerns about the appropriateness of materials you find on the site
    • information you have been seeking and unable to find

One caveat: states and municipalities may have public health orders or guidance that differ from materials on this Clearinghouse.  Please check with local authorities if in doubt.

MPRAIS-IP is supported by a Hospital Preparedness Program grant from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR).
