Patient Navigator Training

The Patient Navigator Training Collaborative offers a full curriculum designed to build patient navigator skills and knowledge. Whether you are a new or experienced patient navigator, choose from beginning (Level One) or advanced level (Level Two) courses.  Courses are primarily intended for patient navigators but also social workers, nurses and community healthcare workers.

The Denver Prevention Training Center offers Level Two courses for more experienced patient navigators.  There are four courses and each course focuses upon a different skill set and knowledge procurement.  The courses focus on increasing group facilitation skills, integrating a social-determinants-of-health perspective into prevention work, linking health behavioral change and theory into prevention practices, and using evaluation to enhance program improvement.
