St. Thomas Community Health Center, Louisiana Office of Public Health, and the Denver Prevention Training Center invite you to join us for the 2018 Louisiana PrEP Symposium at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, on March 2nd, 2018 to discuss the HIV epidemic in Louisiana, PrEP as an efficacious HIV prevention strategy, hear about PrEP implementation models, and hear from PrEP users about how this strategy has transformed their lives.

By the end of the Symposium, participants will be able to:

    • Describe current epidemiologic trends of HIV and PrEP efforts in Louisiana.

    • Present and discuss scientific evidence that supports PrEP effectiveness and priority populations for primary care providers.

    • Identify payment and billing options for PrEP provision and resources for PrEP implementation or referral.

    • Describe successes and challenges of PrEP implementation in primary care settings.

    • Describe successes, challenges and barriers faced by patients who are on or eligible for PrEP.
