The Denver Prevention Training Center is located on the Denver Health Medical Center
campus just south of downtown (map
) at 601 Broadway (the intersection of 6th Ave. and Broadway).
While Denver enjoys 300 days of sunshine every year, the weather
in the Mile High City can change quickly, so be prepared with layered clothing and sunscreen. Because of our altitude, we advise you to drink plenty of water and limit your caffeine and alcohol intake during your stay. For information on dining, lodging, events and attractions, the Denver Visitor’s Bureau
is a wealth of information.
Travel and Lodging
Denver International Airport
is one of the busiest airports in the world. It’s also the second largest public art installation in the region, so keep your eyes open on the way to baggage claim, located on the fifth floor of the main terminal. The 20 mile trip from the airport to downtown Denver will cost about $20 by shuttle or $60 by taxi. The A-Line
will bring you from the airport to Union Station where you can access transportation to any downtown hotel.
